The Dòchas Education Trust

advancing and transforming through education, training and learning

We are a small Christian charity based in Scotland working with people regardless of race or creed to bring transformation and advancement through education and learning. We are committed to training models, working in partnership wherever possible, to provide knowledge and resources that bring sustainable benefits.

We wish to enable the recipients rather than provide cash handouts or carrying out their projects for them.

Funding.

We will seek grants and other funding but depend largely on the support of indiviuals and churches.

Through visits to churches, schools and presentations to friends the fundraising has already been started in a small way.

In November 2010 we held a launch dinner for about 100 friends where we raised  £8,000 .

We still need to raise funds for the 2nd and 3rd modules of the teacher in-service programme this year and to look to funding the remaining modules as well as next year's Bible Schools.

Over and above the costs involved in these activities we purchased 140 hard back Bibles in Chichewa for distribution to the pastors.
